its very hard to articulate my thoughts properly, so im sorry if this is weirdly worded, but i wish we made as much of an effort to warn others - ESPECIALLY jewish people and other poc - about jojo as we do with shit like homesuck and similar media

like tbh we have no right to clown on shit like that (im not exempt from this ofc) when jojo itself is fucking awful especially with parts 2 and 7. it doesnt matter if its ‘more fun’ or ‘the charas are better’ orabout the pretty art ,it doesnt sugarcoat the antisemitism, transmisogony, racism, csa shit and more and i see this especially from white fans and other fans who arent jewish. i see this predominantly with the ‘part 1 and 2 skippers are shit’ memes which again make no effort to warn or educate people who are getting into it about how awful part 2 is.

liking problematic media does not exempt us from that responsibility, we are no different than others and we as a community have to make an effort.

if you arent into jojo but are interested or are just a fan that wants to inform others this post right here is an excellent resource that breaks down problems you see with each part - although it doesnt have specifications.
